Silver Plated Shepherds Crook Ear Wires
Ear wires are a common component in jewellery making, and are designed to attach to a bead or pendant as a way of creating earrings. These silver plated Shepherds Crook ear wires measuring 14mm in length consist of a long, curved wire that is inserted into the ear piercing, and a small loop or hook at the end that holds the earring in place. The shape of the wire is reminiscent of a shepherd's crook, hence the name.
To use the silver plated Shepherd's Crook ear wire, simply open the rounded end of the wire using pliers to thread your bead or finding, and then secure in place by bending the wire back to its original position. As these Shepherds Crook ear wires are made of silver plated metal, where a fine layer of gold has been bonded onto the brass base metal, over time and with excess use this layer may eventually wear away. All our plated metal findings are compliant with EU REACH regulations.
