The Serinity Crystals range contains many beautiful and differently shaped beads, giving you a wide variety of creative options when exploring the fun world jewellery making. For this spring season we have taken inspiration from nature and chosen the 5754 butterfly bead in a beautiful light rose shade and combined it with memory wire to give the illusion of fluttering butterflies. Follow the instructions in this simple step - by - step tutorial to make this lovely set of bouncing butterfly beaded earrings that you will be proud to say you made yourself.

STEP 1
Thread one 5754 Butterfly bead onto a silver-plated headpin.
STEP 2
Use Round Nose Pliers to bend the rest of the headpin round into a loop that sits snuggly against the top of the butterfly bead. Use Side Cutters to trim away the excess wire, creating a single butterfly bead pendant.
STEP 3
Repeat steps 1 – 2, six times until you have six butterfly pendants.
STEP 4
Take the coiled Memory wire and cut off one full loop so you have one complete circle of wire.
STEP 5
Use the Round Nose Pliers to bend the loop inwards near the halfway point, so that the loops now vaguely resemble the shape of an asymmetrical fish.
STEP 6
Use the Round Nose Pliers to bend loops onto the two ends of the wire.
STEP 7
Take the coiled Memory wire and cut off one half of full loop, so that you have a semi-circle of wire.
STEP 8
Use the Round Nose Pliers to bend loops onto the two ends. The two pieces of memory wire should look something like this:
STEP 9
Using a combination of the round nose and chain nose pliers, gently twist open the loop at the bottom of the Fishhook Ear wire. Be sure to always use a twisting motion when opening loops and not a pulling motion as that will warp and weaken the metal. Loop the two memory wire sections onto the ear wire and twist the opening closed again. It should look like this:
STEP 10
Repeat steps 4 – 9 to create the second earring.
STEP 11
Using the same gentle twisting motion, you used to open and close the loop on the ear wire, attach the butterfly pendants onto the 3 loops at the bottom of the earring.
